| The best season yet!!! | After a hard fought battle and a penalty riding game the Carolina Queens come out victorious. This is the first time in franchise history that the Queens have started out 4 - 0. The Queens started off the first half strong, by getting out to a 10 and 0 lead with a touch down by Jarica Hinson and two safeties by Michelle Cooper. Palm Beach would rally and score two touchdowns at the end of the first half on fumble recoveries off of the Queens' special teams. Being down 14 to 10 at halftime, the Queens were faced with their first deficit. The Coaching staff laid down the challenge to prove that the Queens where a championship team and to show everyone the Queens had HEART. The second half started out how the first ended with a fumble from the special teams. The Queens' defense came out strong holding the Punishers and forcing a fumble. Coach Brown said "big players make big plays" and he could not have been more right at that moment. Jarica Hinson has been a work horse for the Queens all season and nothing would change with their starting Quarterback being out. At the beginning of the fourth quarter on a great play calling, the Offensive line holds strong and allows Hinson to run it in for another touch down. The queens go for two but the attempt is stuffed by the Punishers. The Queens are now up 16 to 14, it is still anyone's ball game at the moment. The Punishers had already proven they could score quickly. However according to the Queens' Defense the game was over. The Defensive line made some great stops and the Punishers were never able to get the ball moving again in their favor. The series ended with Tonya Sampson getting a safety, making the game score 18 to 14. The Queens' offense was not going to let their defense show them up and on a pretty reverse play to Kurtina Ricketts, the Queens scored again pushing the lead to 24 to 14. The Queens went for the extra point, after the touchdown, but after a bad snap and a collision, the attempt was no good and stand in QB Nikki Herron was done for the night. The defensive team was asked to make a statement and finish the game strong by not letting the Punishers score in the remaining minute of the game. As they had done the whole night, the defense put the Punishers on their own goal line and closed the game out with another safety by Michelle cooper The clock runs out after the kick off by the Punishers and the Queens win a much needed game. Final score 28-14
